Live Forever or Die Forever
You are born separated from God and thus, spiritually dead. God does not send anyone to hell. The judgment is long ago over. A person chooses to stay separated from God on earth and forever. If you die on earth without accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior you will stay separated from God forever. This is the second death or eternal death. You either stay separated from God forever or connected to Him forever.
Live Forever = Eternal life = forever connected to God
Die Forever = Eternal death = forever separated from God
Die Forever = Eternal death = forever separated from God
Look closely at the words to one of the most famous and well known verses in the Bible spoken by Jesus Christ:
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." -- John 3:16-19
Hell is the natural outworking of a spirit already separated from God. This is what Jesus meant by "already condemned". Jesus is saying everyone is born separated from God (dead) and will stay separated at the death of the body (condemned already). The God of love showed His love by dying in your place. All you have to do is repent and receive Him.
Condemned Already = Already Separated = Condition of sin from Adam = no Holy Spirit
