Christian Spiritual Growth: A Balanced Diet

Congratulations! If you have been recently saved here are some suggestions:
The goal of the Christian walk is to know Jesus Christ and be conformed into His image and likeness in our daily lives by the transforming power of the Holy Spirit. This is accomplished by abiding in Jesus Christ through His Word, prayer, fellowship, worship, and by yielding our lives to the Holy Spirit. (John 15:2; 2 Corinthians 3:18; Romans 8:29; Ephesians 4:15)

A new believer has been born again and is spiritually a vulnerable and immature new born baby. You will need to be cared for and fed just like a new born baby. The milk of the word of God is the food to make you grow up in Christ. If not you'll suffer spiritual weakness, lethargy, failure to thrive, and growth retardation. (1 Corinthians 3:1-3; Hebrews 5:12-14; 1 Peter 2:2) God has given you the VICTORY. Go get it!

VISIT with God daily in prayer and worship. (Mark 1:35; John 4:23-24, 15:1-10; 2 Thessalonians 1:11; Colossians 3:16; Psalm 37:4; Phillippians 4:4)
INITIATE a personal relationship with God and changes in your life. God will empower you. (James 1:23-25, 4:7; John 7:17, 7:37-38, 8:12; Deuteronomy 6:1-9)
CHURCH - find a good church that teaches the word of God and relationship for growth and fellowship. (Hebrews 10:25; Acts 2:42)
TRUST God and love Him with all your heart, strength, and mind. Trust Him with every detail of your life. (Matthew 22:37; 1 Peter 5:7)
OBEY God moment by moment. (John 14:23-24; 1 Samuel 15:22-23; Deuteronomy 4:6)
REMAIN or abide in the word of God to be set free. Read the Bible daily and make it a priority. (John 8:31-32, 15; Romans 12:2)
YIELD to the Holy Spirit and the will of God for your life. Surrender is the beginning of freedom and peace. Walk in grace. (Romans 8; Galatians 5:16-18; Colossians 2:6)
I never expected Biblical salvation to be not only misunderstood but rejected by people claiming to be Christians. The words saved and born again caused problems when they are spoken by Jesus Christ Himself. I was floored by how misunderstood the entire point of Christianity is. Salvation is easy. The Lord did it all on the cross. It is man who has narrowed the gate not God.
